MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) formally opened the call for applications for the incubation program of ISAPELIKULA on November 15, 2025, with the submission period running until January 15, 2026.  

First introduced during this year’s Philippine Film Industry Month, ISAPELIKULA is a new FDCP initiative designed to help both emerging and established filmmakers bring their unique and proudly Filipino stories to life. This program features three (3) phases: Incubation, Match Funding, and Distribution.

A total of twenty (20) semi-finalists will be selected for the incubation phase, where they will undergo intensive mentorships on their script and a pitching workshop, led by seasoned industry professionals. 

Ten (10) of the twenty (20) semi-finalists emerging from the incubation phase will have the opportunity to pitch their projects during the Match Funding. Producers that are invited to the pitching session may pledge support to any of the projects, and the FDCP will match their committed amounts with up to Php 10 million. This support from the agency aims to strengthen the projects’ ability to move towards production.

The FDCP reaffirms its commitment to elevating the Philippine film industry by crafting new initiatives and opportunities for Filipino filmmakers to nurture talent and expand creative opportunities. ISAPELIKULA serves as a platform for bold ideas to grow into compelling films that represent the richness of Filipino storytelling.
